Berlin Campaign Conference 2025
Written by: Ulli Jentsch
The Berlin Campaign Conference, organised by the German campaign organisation The Republic around former CSU campaigner Armin Petschner-Multari, took place in Berlin from 3 to 5 September. Similar to previous years, the event saw ultra-right lobbyists from the United States, Hungary, Austria and Germany networking and seeking connections to conservative parties. Actors from the CDU milieu were also announced – they should clearly distance themselves from these anti-democratic networks, says Kathrin Anhold of Lobbycontrol. Journalists were denied access to the conference, which was described as ‘a private event to which no media were admitted’ when asked. As Correctiv later learned, two employees of the CDU-affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) took part in the conference.
