FAFCE and WYA: no EU funding?

In early December 2025, the EU decided that the Catholic fundamentalist group FAFCE (Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe) would not be eligible for EU funding. The FAFCE's focus did not comply with EU standards and did not take sufficient account of gender-specific aspects. This was reported by the Christian-conservative and Trump-affiliated Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) on its website.

The anti-abortion World Youth Alliance (WYA), on the other hand, has been under critical scrutiny since an article appeared in OpenDemocracy, and further funding from EU funds is questionable. This is reported here by opendemocracy.net.
