Heartland Institute UK-EU established

A branch of the US-based Heartland Institute, which is particularly known for its denial of man-made climate change, has been established in the UK, according to desmog.com. The opening ceremony was attended by former Conservative Prime Minister Liz Truss and current Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade Andrew Griffith, with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage as the keynote speaker.

The offshoot aims to promote networking in the UK and Europe. Politicians from the FPÖ and AfD have also been among the Heartland Institute's discussion partners. These include Austrian Harald Vilimsky and German MEP Markus Buchheit, who traveled to Florida in July 2025 to meet with Heartland CEO James Taylor.
