Pressure on the MCC in Brussels

The Brussels office of the Hungarian Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC)—an organization closely aligned with Orbán—has reported difficulties in its work there. In mid-June, its registration with the EU Transparency Register was revoked. As a result, the MCC is no longer able to participate in parliamentary proceedings (meetings, committees, hearings, etc.). The organization is fighting back against what it calls a “politically motivated attack,” as stated on its website. More than 50 members from various far-right factions in the European Parliament called on Ursula von der Leyen in an open letter to reverse the Registry’s decision.
